Written by American author Gertrude Barrows Bennett, under the pseudonym of Francis Stevens. Bennett was known as a great pioneer of science fiction and fantasy, credited as the inventor of the "dark fantasy" subgenre.'Claimed' is recognised as one of Bennett's most famous books, with Augustus T. Swift writing in a letter to The Argosy that it was ""One of the strangest and most compelling science fantasy novels you will ever read". In this intriguing novel, an ancient artifact is discovered far out at sea, subsequently bringing madness and chaos to whoever acquires it. Internally, firmly bound with very bright and clean pages. Fine . Ill.: None. Fine/Near Fine.
